Fuoco in Zona — pursuant to Articles 13-14 of EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR)

2. What data we collect

Account data: name, email address, password (stored encrypted, never in plain text).
Land registry data: geographic coordinates, municipality, map sheet ("foglio"), parcel ("particella"), parcel boundary — entered manually, via a Google Maps link, via search in the Puglia Region's public land registry, or by uploading your farm file ("fascicolo aziendale").
Uploaded documents: if you upload your farm file (PDF), the document is read to extract land data and is not retained beyond the time necessary for extraction, unless otherwise indicated.
Notification data: your Telegram chat identifier, if you connect the bot, in order to send you alerts.
Payment data: if you subscribe to a paid plan, card/payment data is handled directly by Stripe Inc. and does not pass through or get stored on our systems.
Technical data: our hosting provider (Railway) may record your IP address in standard technical request logs, as any web service does — we do not actively use this data for profiling or specific checks on your account.

3. Why we collect this data (purposes and legal basis)

To provide the fire monitoring and alert service you requested (legal basis: performance of a contract/service requested by the user).
To send alert notifications via Telegram and/or email (legal basis: performance of the service).
To manage registration, login and password recovery (legal basis: performance of the service).
To manage your subscription and billing, if you subscribe (legal basis: performance of the contract, legal tax obligations).
Communications about other Agribase services, only if you gave explicit consent during registration (legal basis: consent, revocable at any time).

4. How long we retain your data

Account and land data are retained for as long as you use the service. If you close your account, your data is deleted within a reasonable time, except for billing data subject to statutory tax retention obligations (typically 10 years under Italian law).

5. Who we share data with

Stripe Inc. — payment processing, if you subscribe to a paid plan.
Safe Publishing Ltd (United Kingdom) — the billing/payment-collection service we use, which receives the data necessary for invoicing (name, payment data) if you subscribe to a paid plan.
Telegram — sending notifications, only if you connect the bot.
Resend — sending notification and transactional emails.
Public mapping services (Esri, Regione Puglia — land registry) — for displaying the map and looking up land registry data; we do not receive or share personal data with these services beyond the geographic coordinates needed to display the map.

We do not sell or transfer your data to third parties for their own commercial purposes.

6. Transfer of data outside the European Union

Some of the providers listed in section 5 are based outside the European Union. This involves a transfer of your data to third countries, which only takes place with the safeguards required by the GDPR:

Stripe Inc. and Resend (United States) — transfer based on both companies' certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and, additionally, on the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
Safe Publishing Ltd (United Kingdom) — transfer covered by the European Commission's adequacy decision for the United Kingdom, renewed on 19 December 2025 and valid until 27 December 2031: data may flow to the United Kingdom with the same level of protection provided in the EU, without the need for further contractual safeguards.

7. Your rights

Under Articles 15-22 of the GDPR, you have the right to access your data, and to request its correction, deletion, restriction of processing, portability, and to object to processing. You can exercise these rights by writing to ciao@fuocoinzona.it — we will respond within 30 days, as required by the GDPR.

Providing account data (email, password) is necessary to create an account and use the service; providing land data is necessary to activate alerts for that specific area. Without this data we cannot provide the requested service.

We do not carry out any automated decision-making, including profiling, that produces legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affects you: the alerts you receive are informational notifications, not automated decisions about you.

8. Complaints

You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority ("Garante per la Protezione dei Dati Personali", www.garanteprivacy.it) if you believe that the processing of your data violates applicable law.
